"Hey you" ist im Wall-Film entfallen.

Der Song ist ein letzter Versuch Pinks, mit der Außenwelt zu kommunizieren, aber er hat sich bereits zu sehr abgeschottet, es sind nur noch schwache Phantasien.
Die Würmer tauchen hier zum ersten Mal auf. Roger Waters sieht sie als Symbol für Verfall, Fäulnis, Vergänglichkeit. Der Gedanke hinter diesen Zeilen ist, daß Isolation den Verfall des eigenen Ichs bedeutet.
