"Pink Floyd Box Set Confirmed For November 2007
According to Pink Floyd's manager Paul Loasby, there will be a Pink Floyd box set released in November 2007. There is currently no date set for its release as it is still in discussion.
According to Paul, " all of the studio albums reproduced as CDs but as per the vinyl artwork". He also confirmed that all the CDs will be contained within a Storm Thorgerson designed box!
In an interview last year, Storm revealed that the box set would be called "The Boy, The Man" although that has not been confirmed to NPF yet by Pink Floyd's manager.
Storm Thorgerson has designed many of Pink Floyd's album covers including Dark Side of the Moon, PULSE and the booklet for the 40th Anniversary Edition of Piper At The Gates of Dawn."

Cool wär's schon aber angenommen das Teil kostet 250 €...dann weiß ich nicht ob die Box oder lieber 25 andere CDs...

Mich würde es eigentlich schon ziemlich ärgern, wenn jetzt durch ein erneutes Remastern der Klang nochmal verbessert würde... Aber geht das überhaupt noch bei 30 Jahre alten Sachen???
Jetzt, wo ich in den letzten paar Jahren nach und nach die erste CD-Generation durch die Remasters von 1994 ersetzt habe... Aber über kurz oder lang würde ich wohl zuschlagen (müssen)...

Na - ich würde mal sagen abwarten. Das Box-Set 2nd Edition wird dann auch noch alle Soloalben beinhalten! 
Das Gegenteil von Schluss ist der Beginn. |

das letzte rematering ist 15 jahre her.....da kann ruhig mal was neues kommen.
Irgendwann ist die Kuh gemolken und ausremastered hat es sich auch schon. Ein neuerlicher Klanggewinn ist kaum zu erwarten.

Ich find schon das Echoes auf der Echoes(Best of) besser klingt.....und das möchte ich jetzt lieber in der Langfassung.

Hab ich mir auch gedacht. Aber irgendwie kommt es mir auch so vor, als wäre bei der "Echoes Best Of" einfach ein wenig mehr Hall dazugemischt worden, dann nochmal alles schön mit dem Kompressor bearbeitet, und man hat das Gefühl, es klingt nochmal eine Spur besser. Oder liege ich da so verkehrt...?
