Die schönsten Strophen/Textzeilen [4703]
|
HIGHWAY 61
Oh God said to Abraham, "Kill me a son" Abe says, "Man, you must be puttin' me on" God say, "No." Abe say, "What?" God say, "You can do what you want Abe, but The next time you see me comin' you better run" Well Abe says, "Where do you want this killin' done?" God says, "Out on Highway 61."

And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw around. So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone, Dragged down by the stone.

future butterfly gonna spend the day higher than high you'll be beautiful confusion once i was you

From bitter searching of the heart Quickened with passion and with pain We rise to play a greater part
This is the faith from wich we start men shall know commonwealth again From bitter searching of the heart
WE lovedthe easy and the smart But now with keener hand and brain We rise to play a greater part
The lesser loyalities depart And neither race nor creed remain From bitter searching of the heart
Not steering by the venal chart That tricked the mass for privat gain We rise to play a greater part
Reshaping narrow law and art Whose symbols are millions slain From bitter searching of the heart We rise to play a greater part L.Cohen

Moin,moin,
I see a woman in the night With a baby in her hand Under an old street light Near a garbage can Now she puts the kid away, and she's gone to get a hit She hates her life, and what she's done to it There's one more kid that will never go to school Never get to fall in love, never get to be cool.

Jimi's playin' in the back room Led Zeppelin on stage There's a mirror ball twirlin' And a note from Page Like a water-washed diamond In a river of sin Goin' down like a whirlpool When you get sucked in

I sit on your bed, watching evening descend, with a fist full of marigolds. And the dim light is traced on your skeleton face your hands are impossibly cold. I close my eyes to see if I can feel you in the air I want to breathe you in me; it makes me dizzy. There's nobody there. So I'm washing your feet, I pull on your clothes, and I hide all the pills away. But my criminal mind is on women and wine as they finally take you away. I want to write you letters, all apologies and prayers. I could have loved you better, but now I'll never have any chance again. Though you won't forgive me, you are nowhere near me anymore. So I sit on my bed, watching morning come in, holding poppies and marigolds.
