Hallo alle,
bestimmt seid ihr auch schonmal fündig geworden, wenn ihr bei Bruder Franziskus nach Texten und Übersetzungen gesucht habt. Leider gibt es immer noch weiße Flecken auf dieser Karte und ich lade freiwillige Helfer gerne ein, häppchenweise dazu beizutragen.
Mir reicht es oft, wenn ich eine Rohübersetzung habe, um einen Anreiz zu bekommen, das richtig auszutüfteln. Es wäre auch möglich, daß man sich hier in diesem Forum über die genauen Formulierungen unterhalten kann.

an anderer Stelle hatte ich mich ma an "Vegetable man" gemacht, vielleicht hast du ja Lust etwas nachzubessern und zu ergänzen...

so I change my gear, and I bugger my knees (so I've changed my dear, and I find my knees)
and I cover them up with the latest cuts (and I covered...)
my pants and socks are all in a box (and my pants and socks all point in a box)
it does take long to find darn old socks (they don't make long of my nylon socks)
the watch, black watch, my watch
with a black face and a date in a little hole (with a black face and a big pin, a little hole)
and all the luck, its what I got, (and all the lot, is what you got)

Und hier meine bisherige Übersetzung, an den stellen die mir noch unklar sind hab ich punkte hingemacht, viel spass:
Gemüsemann
In gelben Schuhen krieg ich den Blues

Mit meinen blauen Samthosen bekomm ich ein rosa Gefühl
Da ist eine art von Gestank über meiner blauen Samthose

Und meine Turquise Weste ist ganz aus der Mode
Aber oh, oh mein Haarschnitt sieht so böse aus...
Gemüsemann wo bist du?
So änder ich meinen Gang, und ich (....) meine Knie
und ich bedecke sie mit dem letzten Schnitt
meine Hosen und Socken sind alle in einer Schachtel
ich brauche lange um meine alten Nylonsocken zu finden (?)

fella hätte ich mit fellow=gefährte übersetzt.
also: er ist die Art Gefährte die du einfach nur sehen musst wenn du kannst, Gemüsemann
die watch könnte auch ne Uhr sein, Barret singt ja mal öfters von solchen Gegenständen (siehe Bike)
bugger bedeutet anal verkehren oder Sodomie betreiben, aber auch etwas vermasseln. passt aber alles drei nicht so richtig. mit dem Rest bin ich einverstanden

wäre auf jeden Fall logischer, da er ja seine Kleidung vorher beschreibt. das date wäre dann keine Verabredung sondern die Datumsanzeige in einem kleinen Loch. solche Uhren gibts ja. Das face ist dann wahrscheinlich das Zifferblatt
an die anderen Texte mach ich mich nachher.

hallo Syd Freak, das ist ja schön das du hier auftauchst
ich hab eben das Stück mal angehört und festgestellt das es "...find my knees.." heist. Ich werd mal den korrekten Text nochmal reinstellen, es gibt leider zwei versionen die minimal voneinander abweichen, aber nur eine ist richtig!!
Dann können wir ja ein wenig daran feilen

und Watch ist wohl eine Uhr siehe "big Pin". wobei eine große Nadel könnte natürlich auch auf einen Wärter mit einer Spritze hinweisen. Hmmm?

Syd Freak, hattest du nicht mal eine Übersetzung von "Candy and a Currant Bun" hier irgendwo reingestellt. Leider find ich die nirgends mehr. Wollt sie mir mal ausdrucken
