	Auszug aus Pulse and Spirit David Gilmour says thank you! 10.09.2008: Ein Interview und 4 neue Fotos von David Gilmour kann man hier nachlesen: AP Hier ein paar Auszüge daraus: "There have been all sorts of farewell moments in people's lives and careers which they have then rescinded, but I think I can fairly categorically say that there won't be a tour or an album again that I take part in," said Gilmour. "It isn't to do with animosity or anything like that. It's just that I've done that. I've been there, I've done it." Entweder meint er damit sämtliche Projekte, oder nur auf Pink Floyd bezogen. Aber wenn man das ganze Interview liest ,wird es deutlicher dass er Pink Floyd meint. So wie ich das verstehe arbeitet er an einem neuen Album ??? 	@ Jester He says he plans to make a new album, but for now he's content to take it easy. "I think if you are going to get on in this career or any other career you've got to be fairly ruthless while you're climbing up to the to the point in the career you want to get to," he said. "That moment is long past for me. I don't have to scramble over the bodies to reach the top anymore." Er sagt er hat Pläne für ein neues Album, aber er will es jetzt erst einmal ruhig angehen lassen. "Ich glaube wenn du deine Karriere voranbringen willst muss du ziemlich rücksichtlos sein auf dem Weg zum Ziel welches du erreichen willst. Das liegt lange hinter mir. Ich muss mich nicht mehr über Leichen gehen um nach ganz oben zu kommen." Sinngemäß richtig denke ich.

It was the first time in almost a quarter of a century that Gilmour and estranged bandmate Roger Waters had appeared onstage together, and the atmosphere was electric. But once was enough, Gilmour says. The gig itself was "excellent, really enjoyable," said the 62-year-old guitarist and singer. "The rehearsals were less enjoyable. The rehearsals convinced me it wasn't something I wanted to be doing a lot of," Gilmour said, speaking from the Astoria, his houseboat-cum-recording studio on the River Thames. He has a famously testy relationship with bassist and singer Waters, who walked away from Pink Floyd in 1985. 	Ich glaube Gilmour weiß, dass ein neues Pink Floyd Album die Erwartungen nie erfüllen kann. Und für eine Tour hat er einfach keine Lust mehr. Also war es das. By the way, which one's Pink?

	@ Jester: Mit der Best of tour magst du recht haben. Aber was nicht in meinen Schädel rein will ist, dass so eine erfolgreiche Band einfach so langsam sich in den Ruhestand begibt. Das kann ich einfach nicht glauben. MIt Meddle habe ich mich diesbezüglich auch in dieser Richtung ausgetauscht und er sieht es genau so. Doch was würde abgehen wenn Sie es doch nochmal machen würden?? Wäre dieser Ansturm zu bewältigen? (siehe Led Zeppelin)

	@ Micha Nein dieser Ansturm wäre nicht zu bewältigen. Es wäre eine Tour wie die Division Bell Tour notwendig und das macht Gilmour nicht mit. Ich verstehe auch nicht warum diese Konzerte ende der 90er nicht gelaufen sind. Da waren doch irgendwie welche vor den Pyramiden im Gespräch...ich denke der Dave will einfach nicht nur mit altem Material spielen. Wenn, will er auch neues präsentieren. 	@ Jester ich denke, das interview gibt an, was wir eh wissen. gilmour möchte seine ruhe und vor allem keine fragen nach der zukunft einer bekannten britischen band. --------------------------------------------- "Wir gehen jetzt mit der Kreuzhacke an die Rosen. Und wenn die Direktorin rein is, dann gehen wir runter und trinken Kaffee." (Mein Kollege zu mir heute morgen halb 7)

	@ Echoes denke ich auch so, wenn da nochmal was passieren wird, wird das eh so laufen, dass sie plötzlich und unerwartet irgendwo auftreten oder das innerhalb kürzester zeit angekündigt und durchgeführt wird Jester -------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, is there anybody in there ?

	@ Echoes Wäre David noch 10 Jahre jünger, so wäre er weniger abgeneigt. Aber vor 10 Jahren hatte Roger noch eine andere Einstellung. Schon 1994 hatte David Roger eingeladen Dark Side of the Moon zusammen zu spielen. Roger wollte aber nicht. Inzwischen sind 14 Jahre vergangen. Und David ist in dieser Zeit auch nicht jünger geworden. Er holt halt jetzt das nach, was er mit in der Pink Floyd Zeit nicht konnte.
